The Power Of ‘The Vignette’
When selling your home and creating photographs for your real estate listing, never underestimate the power of ‘The Vignette’.
You only have one shot to draw your buyers in … and over your threshold!
The main purpose of your photos is to get buyers in your front door.
I am fortunate enough to be in the position of being able to create vignettes, enjoy the vignettes at my open homes, watch the buyers interact with and respond to my vignettes, and then see the property through to it’s sale. I cannot count the number of times buyers have said to me at open homes: “we came because of the beautiful photos; we came because we were intrigued by the close-up shots; we came because the home looks so inviting; we came because the photographs were so different; we came because of the Chivas Regal”. No kidding!
Buyers cannot really decide on whether they are going to purchase your home or not, unless they are in it! … experiencing it … imagining themselves living in it … touching it … wriggling their toes in your carpet … planning whose bedroom is going to be whose!
The vignette sells the dream, hints at the lifestyle your buyer could be living in their new home.
The vignette is the icing on the cake of your home’s photo shoot. It’s your home’s ‘wedding day’. Every home deserves to look as good as it can, like one does on their wedding day!
