Isn’t this sweet?… a hallway, double daybed! It’s a creation by IKBA architects in New York. Their website link is not working. I wonder if their server went down in Hurricane Sandy?
I love their work. I wonder if this project was rural?… judging by the gorgeous barnyard cushions. Love the floors….and don’t books just make a room? Look, there’s even books below the daybeds. Attention to detail. Love it.
We’ve had a busy weekend. I worked on Saturday so I left a long list of chores that everyone busied themselves with… so I came home to a spotless house. Might do that more often! We put in some big family French lesson time and even got to the soccer to see the Roar lose against Adelaide yesterday. I couldn’t have cared less about the score. Don’t tell my family. I just loved being there with my 3 boys, doing boy stuff, yelling boy stuff. There was lots of yelling. Grateful. I think they were too.
Now, breathe out, it’s Monday!
Have a happy day!

I love the 2 daybeds too AM but I also love the 2 puppies who probably use them!

I am sure those puppies would be using them! Those beds are probably their ‘spot’! xx
I love built-in stuff! And the sunlight is amazing. Glad you had a good weekend with your family. That’s what life’s about! Vx

Thank you Karyn. 2 years today since my world turned upside down. I am patting myself on the back that I have come this far. xx

I love hallways that have interesting nooks and bookcases. Great use of space and creates almost another room. xx
I need a breezeway like this, especially since I already have 2 cute dogs to fill it!
Enjoy your week!

I could see my boys never leaving that spot! …. reading, computer games…. perfect. xx
I can imagine myself reaching down and grabbing a favourite book. Look at those doggies! I stayed home with the minis but engineerDad took the Big Pair to see the Roar. They always love a good match. Though they were concerned some people shouted mean words. Bless them!

Oh yes, ‘The Den’ cheer squad was in fine form with their rude words last night. My little one grins through the lot of it. He loves it!

I’d rather fancy a little lie down on one those at the moment. We have had a hectic weekend with a whirlwind camping trip to the beach. I am not exhausitpated and need a weekend to recover!

I felt a bit like that today Deb after a busy weekend. Took me a while to warm up this morning so I went with it and started slow. Sometimes I do look at Monday’s as a bit of a break from the hectic pace of the weekends! xx
what a great idea but never going to happen in our space limited inner suburbs house. we’d need that space in the rooms either side of the hallways. oh well can’t complain about where we live, can we?
cheers fiona
