Friday Colour

Have I got the place for you if you want some colour in your life!

Mondo Cherry now have a shop!

You know? … the talented girls who do all the beautiful hand cut paper art from vintage books … who I used to stalk at the Boutique Markets? (I even helped them set up one time so it didn’t look like I was stalking their stuff too much)

I was bemoaning the fact that I am in Brisbane and they are in Melbourne… and that I couldn’t come down and see all their beautiful goodies… so they sent the shop to me!

I had to share.

Look at the pink flower wall thingy… isn’t it beautiful! All hand cut. I’ve seen them in action … they cut so fast and with such precision. That Clare, she’s a machine!

Little touches of their supreme creativity. Look at that Christmas tree!!! They had to get a shop … an explosion of all their talents … styling, merchandising, buying. Even their market stalls were a sight to behold. Now they have free reign!

I LOVE that tree…. and those lamp shades!

Love the blackboards dotted around the shop.

 I recognise the chandelier. Plug.

And their cushions! Their designs… their fabrics. So clever.

Oh the Christmas shopping!…. look at it all!

… sure is!

Nice angle girls!

I couldn’t imagine working in such a bright, happy place … the Mondo girls must just smile all day.

Mondo Cherry is at 3 Claremont Ave in Malvern, Melbourne and is open Tuesday to Saturday from 9.30am to 3.00pm

The girls have some of their goodies online at too!

And after all that colour and whimsy this morning, I’m heading here:

Cue trombone slide ….

I might have to put one of these colourful Mondo Cherry photos up as my screen saver, on my computer in the shed, to brighten the place up a bit!

Have a happy, colourful Friday … and if you are in Melbourne, pop in and say hi to the Mondo Cherry girls! … and say hi from me!

A-M xx

Hi A-M, I’m a newbie to your blog and am normally a person who sits quietly in the corner and doesn’t comment. I have been following you on Instagram and FB and reading your blog for about a month (Thanks to Katrina from the Block!) But, while I was reading your latest posts, I was thinking “where is this house? I need to see this house.” So, I went back to the start to check it out, with the plan to see the house and then get back to now. But I got sucked in to your story. Wow, what a journey you and your family have taken and continue to take. You are a wonderful person and an inspiration. Thank you for sharing your story. I can’t wait to read more xx

Oh goodness Hayley, that’s dedication! Thank you for your kind words. I must ask Katrina to help me access the house archives and bring them over to this blog. This blog goes back to the beginning of 2008 when I found the land. I archived 18mths of it ages ago and I can’t get it back! Xx
